Neil Perry Creates a Crème De La Mer-Inspired Ice Cream! (Australia)

Qantas’ Creative Director of food, beverage, and service, Neil Perry, teamed up with skincare and make-up brand La Mer to host the first-ever La Mer Crèmery, a retro-inspired ice cream parlor!
From April 4 to April 5, the pop-up provided samples of the iconic La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream and a specially crafted Crème de la Mer-inspired ice cream created by Perry. The restaurateur, a long-time fan of the brand, took inspiration from Crème de la Mer’s ultra-rich formula and signature fermentation process to create a luxuriously smooth and rich buttermilk ice cream.
Kelp, sesame, and other key ingredients, like those found in the moisturizer’s formula, could be added to the ice cream by attendees.
The event occurred at Guilfoyle Park, 1A Guilfoyle Avenue, Double Bay.

2 Flavors of Swisse Ice Cream Created by MasterChef Conor Curran (AKA Creamy Confusion)! (Australia)
A unique partnership between wellness brand Swisse and Conor Curran (AKA Creamy Confusion) has resulted in two limited-edition treats!

The first, a Peaches & Cream ice-cream, takes inspiration from the sour peach flavor of Swisse Energy Boost Smart Melts. Within each bite, Peaches-and-Cream Ripple ice cream combines with Davidson’s plum sour powder to create a one-of-a-kind Peaches & Cream flavor.
The second debut, an Orange Greek Yoghurt sorbet, is based on the orange flavor of the Swisse Probiotic and Prebiotic Gummies. It contains a mostly Greek yogurt base and natural orange sweetness with chewy homemade orange peel gummies.
The new ice cream flavors were available at a one-day-only pop-up in Melbourne, courtesy of the Swisse Whip van.
Baskin-Robbins Japan’s ONE PIECE Collaboration and Springtime Kanmidokoro Promotion! (Japan)
Baskin-Robbins Japan recently collaborated with the world-famous anime ONE PIECE to create a new flavor inspired by the iconic “Gomu Gomu no Mi”! The brightly hued Gum-Gum Fruit Punch sorbet offers a multi-layered fruit experience, featuring a sweet-and-sour soda-flavored ribbon and popping candy. The “mysterious” flavor presents a slightly different fruit taste within each bite, as well as the fizzy texture of soda.
For the ultimate Luffy-inspired indulgence, One Piece fans can enjoy the flavor in Luffy's "Amazing! Pirate Double Cup A," which comes with a small cookie featuring the Straw Hat Pirates symbol and an exclusive acrylic charm of Luffy himself.

Three different character-inspired sundaes were also available:
Zoro and Sanji Double Wing Sundae: Two ice cream flavors, topped with whipped cream, strawberry sauce, and chocolates
Nami's Sparkling Orange Sundae: Ice cream topped with whipped cream, orange-flavored sauce, and bead-like orange "alazan" to resemble gold and jewels
Chopper Cherry Blossom Sweet Sundae: Ice cream, pink-and-white chocolate pieces, and whipped cream
The collaboration event ran from April 1 to May 8.

In addition, Baskin-Robbins Japan had a recent promotion, Springtime Kanmidokoro (“sweets shop” or “dessert cafe”), featuring the brand-new Haikara Matcha Anmitsu ice cream! The release combines a matcha ice cream base, mixed fruit ice cream (with little bits of fruit), a sweet red bean ice cream ribbon with Kuromitsu, and kanten-style gelatin pieces.
The new flavor can be upgraded into a Warabi Mochi Sundae, which is made with blocks of jiggling warabi mochi, dusted with kinako (roasted soybean powder), drizzled with kuromitsu, and topped with whipped cream sprinkled with Kitagawa Hanbee matcha powder.
A waffle cone version of the Warabi Mochi Sundae with one scoop of ice cream costs 650-yen (USD 4.40).
