What’s New in December: Holiday Edition #2 of Retail Ice Cream & Frozen Dessert Innovations 

Brands have been so busy preparing for their holiday debuts that we decided to publish a second edition of our Retail Ice Cream & Frozen Dessert Innovations (don’t miss Holiday Edition #1 if you haven’t read it yet!).

Hocco Ice Cream’s Holiday Debuts: Cherry Chocolate, Kesar Kalakand, and Sitafal (India)


Hocco Ice Cream, the dynamic Indian frozen dessert brand known for its imaginative and feel-good creations, has unveiled three limited-edition seasonal flavors as part of its latest quarterly launch.


The new varieties deliver memorable flavor experiences that celebrate both classic and regional palates:

  • Cherry Chocolate: Smooth, rich chocolate meets vibrant tart cherries

  • Kesar Kalakand: A regal fusion of saffron’s golden warmth with the creamy sweetness of kalakand

  • Sitafal: Spotlighting the mellow, tropical sweetness of custard apple—a beloved seasonal fruit in India.


Each debut is available in a party pack (approximately ₹200 or USD 2.22) or an 80mL cup (approximately ₹35 or USD 0.39). They’re available only through Hokko’s general trade network across select markets.


Mochi Ice Cream Double Surprise, Pistachio Mochi, and Mochi Ice Cream Jinglebreadies from SOTI Natural (Poland)


SOTI Natural’s holiday line-up includes three exciting products:


  • Mochi Ice Cream Jinglebreadies (2-Packs): Cookie dough sprinkled with crushed speculoos and filled with ice cream flavored with spice cookies.

  • Mochi Ice Cream Double Surprise (6-Packs): Artisanal mochi covered in two-colored rice dough, filled with ice cream and white and milk chocolate pieces.

  • Mochi Ice Cream Pistachio: Velvety, artisanal pistachio ice cream surrounded by a thin rice dough shell.


The packs of six mochi ice cream balls are available at Stokrotka, Dino, and Selgros stores for €5.43 (USD 6.38). The 2-packs had limited details available.

Kelly’s of Cornwall Unveils Raspberry Cheesecake, Millionaire’s Shortbread, Vanilla Bean, and Mocha Ice Cream (United Kingdom)


Kelly’s of Cornwall has unveiled four new indulgent flavors alongside a refreshed tub design that has cream-colored text and Cornish cues! The expanded range leans into classic dessert inspirations and features the following flavors:


  • Raspberry Cheesecake: Tangy raspberry ribbons folded into velvety clotted cream with golden biscuit pieces throughout

  • Millionaire’s Shortbread: Decadent caramel ribbons and golden biscuit pieces folded into velvety clotted cream

  • Vanilla Bean: Real vanilla bean folded into a velvety, sweetly fragrant clotted cream base

  • Mocha: Bold coffee and silky chocolate woven into velvety clotted cream


Each 425mL ice cream is made using Kelly’s signature recipe with Cornish clotted cream (a rich, thick, golden-crusted cream from Cornwall, England) and whole milk from local dairy herds. They’re available at leading retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and ASDA for £4.50 (USD 6.04).



Blue Bunny Releases Three Holiday Ice Cream Treats (United States)


Blue Bunny is bringing back a festive trio of limited-edition holiday ice cream treats just in time for the 2025 holiday season! The line-up includes:


  • Hot Cocoa Mini Swirls (Cones): Chocolate frozen dairy dessert in a whipped-cream–flavored coating, tucked into a crunchy chocolate cone. Available in 8x2.25oz (66.5mL) boxes; pricing was unavailable at the time of publication.

  • Candy Cane Crunch Mini Bars: Peppermint frozen dairy dessert dipped in a whipped-cream–flavored coating and finished with crushed peppermint candy pieces. Each 6x1.85oz (54.7mL) pack sells for USD 6.49.

  • Peppermint Stick (Pint): Frozen dairy dessert infused with refreshing peppermint and festive candy pieces. The 48-oz pint retails for USD 6.49.


The treats are available for a limited time only at nationwide retailers.


Graeter’s Ice Cream 2025 Holiday Flavor Collection (United States)


Graeter’s Ice Cream, America’s oldest family-owned craft ice cream maker, has unveiled a refreshed brand identity alongside its 2025 Holiday Flavor Collection.


The holiday line-up combines three new limited-edition seasonal flavors with beloved classics, all presented in Graeter’s updated branding:


  • Cozy Hot Cocoa (New): Rich chocolate ice cream threaded with gooey marshmallow swirls

  • Crème Brûlée (New): A velvety vanilla custard base with caramelized sugar crunch layers

  • Spirited Eggnog (New): Spiced eggnog-inspired ice cream infused with notes of rum, bourbon, brandy, and nutmeg

  • Peppermint Stick (Returning Favorite): Classic cool peppermint ice cream blended with crisp peppermint candy bits

  • Black Raspberry Chip (Returning Favorite): Graeter’s signature sweet cream with black raspberries and signature chocolate chips


The holiday line-up of 473mL pints is available online and in scoop shops. Online, a six-pack of flavors sells for USD 84.95.



Grinchmas Peppermint with Chocolate Hearts Ice Cream from Van Leeuwen (United States)


Van Leeuwen’s newest ice cream debut—Grinchmas Peppermint with Chocolate Hearts Ice Cream—features red peppermint ice cream swirled with green peppermint ice cream and loaded with chocolate hearts.


The 14oz (414mL) tubs retail for USD 6.99 and are available at Kroger locations for a limited time only.




Doughlicious Debuts First-Ever Frozen Cookie Dough & Gelato Advent Calendar (United States)


Doughlicious has unveiled its first-ever frozen advent calendar in the U.S., available exclusively at Target stores nationwide.


The countdown calendar features 12x1.13oz (32g) handcrafted Cookie Dough & Gelato Bites in a mix of limited-edition holiday flavors:

  • Gingerbread

  • White Chocolate Snowball

  • Peppermint Bark

  • Sweet & Salty Popcorn

These flavors are alongside fan favorites such as Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Truffle, Cookies & Cream, and Salted Caramel.


Each bite is gluten-free and made with 100% British oats and high-quality ingredients. Priced at USD 11.99, the calendar is available during December.



Ben & Jerry’s “Minter Wonderland” Dark Chocolate Mint Ice Cream (United States)

Ben & Jerry’s has brought back its festive Minter Wonderland flavor just in time for the holiday season. This limited-edition pint combines dark-chocolate-mint ice cream with gooey marshmallow swirls and crunchy chocolate-cookie ribbons, delivering a rich, refreshing, and deeply indulgent winter treat.


Sold in a 16-oz pint for USD 4.99 at Target, the flavor is available now in-store and online across the U.S. 



Jeni’s Splendid Holiday Ice Cream Collections (United States)


Jeni’s has unveiled its 2025 Holiday Collections, featuring a mix of limited-edition and returning seasonal flavors, just in time for the festive season!


Five different holiday collections are available: Holiday Soirée, Holly Jolly, Holiday Potluck, Holiday Gift Basket, and Grand Holiday. Each collection features some overlapping flavors. For example, the Holiday Soirée collection—priced at USD 68.00—contains the following six 473mL pints, as described by the brand:

  • Boozy Eggnog: Velvety egg custard spiked with nutmeg and Uncle Nearest Whiskey

  • White Chocolate Peppermint: A swirl of pink and white peppermint with white chocolate freckles

  • Salty Caramel: Fire-toasted sugar with sea salt, vanilla, and grass-grazed milk

  • Bay Leaf Cheesecake: A refreshing and subtly herbaceous cream cheese ice cream with a crisp graham cracker swirl

  • Brown Butter Almond Brittle: Brown butter almond candy crushed into buttercream ice cream

  • Frosé Sorbet: Sangria-style frozen rosé with pear, strawberry, and watermelon
