Bold, cozy, and often indulgent, these launches show that even as the calendar flips toward cooler weather, ice cream continues to surprise and delight with flavors that perfectly capture the season.


One standout that perfectly captured the spirit of fall—and earned our Pick of the Month—is Salt & Straw’s recent Halloween Series. Each of the five flavors was inventive, but none was more daring than the one featuring real candied bugs! Even more impressive? This was one of THREE recent fall line-ups from the brand!

Golden North Releases Bubble Chai Latte Ice Cream! Australia


Golden North has introduced a new flavor inspired by the beloved chai latte: Bubble Chai Latte ice cream!


The flavor, which draws on the sweet, spiced characteristics of traditional chai tea and the playful bubble‑tea aesthetics, combines premium chai and vanilla bean ice cream with added tapioca boba balls throughout. Created to evoke the comforting warmth of chai spices (such as cardamom, cinnamon, and black tea), the treat also captures the creamy, indulgent texture of premium ice cream.


The new 5L is available through Golden North’s distribution in Australia. Pricing wasn’t available at the time of publication.



Anand Sweets & Savouries × Milano Ice-Cream Release Limited-Edition Festive Gelato Collection! India


This festive season, Anand Sweets—renowned for its traditional Indian mithai (sweets)—has teamed up with Milano Ice Cream, known for its artisanal gelato, to launch a limited-edition gelato collection that reimagines classic Indian sweets with a modern twist.


The trio of flavors includes Rasmalai, Paan Kaju Barfi, and Orange Rose Mélange—each crafted to preserve the essence of the original mithai while delivering the smooth, creamy texture of gelato.


The flavors were available in gelato format at Milano Ice Cream stores (in Bengaluru) for in-store consumption during the festival window from October 14–24. Pricing wasn’t available at the time of publication.



Dairy Queen Launches Its Fall Treat Collection! United States


Dairy Queen recently rolled out its seasonal Fall Treat Collection, refreshing its dessert line-up with two brand-new indulgent options and one returning fan favorite:

  • Caramel Toffee Cookie Blizzard (new): Chewy cookie pieces, toffee, and caramel swirled into DQ’s soft serve ice cream

  • Maple Cookie Shake (new): A creamy milkshake made with DQ’s soft serve, a maple cookie crumble base, milk, and topped with whipped cream

  • Pumpkin Pie Blizzard (returning): DQ’s soft serve blended with real pumpkin-pie chunks and flaky crust pieces, finished with a sprinkle of nutmeg and whipped cream


These treats are available in-store at participating Dairy Queen restaurants across the U.S. for a limited time.



Häagen-Dazs Shops Release Pumpkin Spice Collection! United States


Häagen-Dazs Shops is embracing autumn with the launch of its new Pumpkin Spice Collection in the United States. Available for a limited time, the seasonal line-up includes three indulgent creations designed to bring cozy fall flavors to life:


  • Pumpkin Spice Shake: Häagen-Dazs’ Dulce de Leche ice cream blended with real pumpkin purée, topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin-spice dusting

  • Pumpkin Spice Dazzler: Layers Dulce de Leche ice cream with caramel sauce, crunchy cinnamon-cookie pieces, and warming pumpkin-pie spices for a sundae-style treat (USD 10.99)

  • Pumpkin Spice Dipped Waffle Cone: A waffle cone dipped in white chocolaty chips, rolled in cinnamon-cookie crumbs and pumpkin spice, then filled with your choice of a scoop of ice cream


These specialty desserts are available exclusively at participating Häagen-Dazs Shops across the U.S. Further pricing details were not available at the time of publication.



Three Concrete Offerings from Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard! United States


Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard celebrated the autumn season with three concrete offerings until October 5:


  • Pumpkin Pie Concrete (returning): Blends vanilla custard with pumpkin crème and vanilla wafers

  • Harvest Swirl Concrete (new): Combines both apple butter and pumpkin crème in one creamy cup

  • Apple Butter Concrete (New): Features vanilla frozen custard blended with rich apple butter, crunchy vanilla wafers, and gooey apple-pie filling


The line-up was served at participating Rita’s locations across the USA as part of their limited-time fall line-up.



A New Limited-Time Halloween Series from Salt & Straw! United States


For its 2025 Halloween collection, Salt & Straw delivered an imaginative line-up that spanned spooky, cozy, and downright adventurous:


  • Essence of Ghost (returning): Licorice-dark chocolate ice cream paired with a vanilla-scotch sherbet

  • Jack O’ Lantern Pumpkin Bread: Pumpkin-spice ice cream loaded with chewy chunks of pumpkin bread and cream cheese frosting

  • The Great Candycopia: A salted butterscotch base blended with a variety of candy inclusions, varying in texture and shape, for a trick-or-treat feel

  • Double Bubble Toil & Trouble: Pineapple, pear, banana, coconut milk, cinnamon, and vanilla combine for a bubble-gum-inspired sorbet-style treat

  • Creepy Crawly Critters: Matcha ice cream loaded with candied crickets and mealworms—yes, actual edible bugs—for a crunchy, daring experience


These flavors were offered in pint format for both in-store and online purchases at Salt & Straw locations during the Halloween season.



Salt & Straw’s Limited-Time Apple Series! United States


Salt & Straw celebrated fall 2025 with its Apple Series, a limited-edition line-up that swapped pumpkin spice for orchard-inspired creations. The collection featured five inventive flavors:

  • Apple Cider Donut: Cinnamon-spiced vanilla caramel, royal-icing-style ice cream, and chunks of streusel-topped apple-cider donuts

  • Apple and Cheddar Cinnamon Rolls: Folds house-baked cinnamon roll pieces, spiced apple-pie filling, and Beecher’s Flagship white-cheddar-style cheese ice cream into a warming, snacky flavor

  • Vanilla Apple Custard Tart: Baked tart crust pieces and Granny Smith apples in vanilla custard ice cream spiked with apple cider

  • Caramel Apple Sherbet: A crisp apple-puree base with dark vanilla caramel ribbons

  • Hoppy Apple Cider Sorbet: A vegan (and gluten-free) sorbet made with Washington hard cider and Cascade hops for a surprisingly creamy, hop-lingering finish


The Apple Series was released on August 29 and was available through October 2, 2025 (both online and in scoop shops). The 473mL pints cost USD 15.00.



Salt & Straw’s Pints of the Month: The Thanksgiving Series Pack! United States


Salt & Straw has released its annual seasonal Thanksgiving Series pack, turning the flavors of a classic holiday feast into five gourmet pints of ice cream. Each flavor is crafted in small batches with premium ingredients to showcase the brand’s bold, locally-inspired flavor approach:

  • Parker House Rolls with Salted Buttercream: Melt-in-your-mouth dinner rolls gently folded into a rich, sweet-and-salty butter ice cream

  • Maple Koginut Squash with Pomegranate: Maple‑sage ice cream is swirled with bright, wine‑like pomegranate jelly, then folded with a buttery Ritz‑cracker and hazelnut crumble for a crunchy, Thanksgiving‑inspired finish

  • Cranberry Orange Sorbet (vegan): Fresh Pacific Northwest cranberries from Stahlbush Farms simmer with orange zest, creating a bright, jammy compote swirled into a juicy sorbet ‘sauce’

  • Turkey Stuffing and Cranberry Sauce: Herbed brioche and turkey sausage swirl through salt-and-pepper ice cream with streaks of tart cranberry jam

  • Pumpkin Pie Tiramisu: Pumpkin pie coffee ice cream ribboned with tiramisu cake and finished with chocolate stracciatella


The five-pint pack comes in standard 16-oz pints and is available for USD 75.00 for a one-time purchase, or USD 67.50 per month with a subscription. The pack can be purchased online through Salt & Straw’s website with nationwide U.S. shipping and is available for a limited time.



New from Baskin-Robbins: Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream! United States & Canada


Baskin‑Robbins is celebrating the fall season with the return of its Pumpkin Cheesecake ice cream in the United States and Canada! This seasonal favorite blends creamy pumpkin ice cream with rich cheesecake ice cream, swirled with cinnamon cream cheese ribbons and studded with pieces of ginger‑snap cookie, delivering a crunchy texture.


The flavor is available at participating Baskin‑Robbins locations, served as traditional scoops in waffle cones, cups, sundaes, or as part of a blended Cappuccino Blast treat.


Designated as the “September Flavor of the Month,” the Pumpkin Cheesecake flavor was available for a limited time during September.
