A South Korean convenience store, Withme FS, has introduced a unique solution for hangovers: the Gyeondyo-bar, a grapefruit-flavored ice cream bar designed to ease the aftereffects of alcohol. The name "Gyeondyo" translates to "hang in there," reflecting its purpose to provide comfort to individuals recovering from a night of drinking.
The Gyeondyo-bar features a tart grapefruit-flavored shell with a center containing 0.7% oriental raisin tree fruit juice (Hovenia dulcis), a traditional hangover remedy used in Korean medicine since the 17th century. This ingredient is believed to help reduce symptoms of intoxication.
The ice cream bar is sold exclusively at Withme FS convenience stores in South Korea. Priced at approximately 1,000 Korean won (about USD $0.85), it offers an affordable and novel approach to hangover relief.
This product taps into South Korea's growing hangover cure market, which generates roughly 150 billion won (approximately USD $126 million) annually. The Gyeondyo-bar has gained attention for its innovative combination of traditional ingredients and modern convenience.
CU Launches “I’m Not a Spicy Chicken” Buldak Ice Cream! Korea
Convenience store CU has embraced the global “Swicy” trend—combining spicy and sweet flavors—by introducing an adventurous new ice cream: I’m Not a Spicy Chicken.

Inspired by Korea’s popular Buldak (spicy chicken) stir-fried noodles, the ice cream is shaped like a chicken drumstick and offers a unique twist on traditional frozen treats. At its core is creamy milk ice cream coated in chocolate infused with spicy chicken flavor and sprinkled with crunchy spicy chicken-flavored corn. The combination delivers an initial kick of heat followed by a subtle sweetness, appealing to Gen Z consumers who crave bold, complex flavors.
The 4-inch-long ice cream is sold individually for KRW 3,000 (approximately USD 2.20). It’s available exclusively at CU convenience stores across South Korea.

Hyderabad-based Cream Stone Ice Cream has launched its first-ever premium ice cream stick collection, featuring two indulgent variants:

Godiva has launched a luxurious Frozen Chocolate Collection in the UAE, offering a fresh twist on its signature chocolate indulgence.
