This month’s global retail ice cream and frozen dessert round-up highlights how brands continue to blur the lines between ice cream, snacks, beverages, and viral desserts. Texture also remains a major driver of innovation, with crunchy pastry layers, candy coatings, cookie dough, brownie pieces, and crisp inclusions appearing in many of this month’s launches.
This time, our Pick of the Month goes to HOCCO for its new Leemo Ice Cream Cup. While many recent launches have focused heavily on rich inclusions and decadent dessert inspirations, Leemo stands out for taking a simpler, more refreshing direction encased in a 3D shape.
Let’s discover more about the latest launches from around the world!

JUMP TO:
Häagen-Dazs Rocky Crunchy Ice Cream (Japan)
Häagen-Dazs Japan has launched a new limited-edition Rocky Crunchy ice cream range.
The brand developed the range to emphasize the satisfying “crunch” sensation increasingly popular in ASMR-focused food trends and social media content. The product’s name references the rocky, textured surface created by the layered chocolate inclusions. It’s available in the following flavors:
Strawberry Black Cocoa: Chunky cocoa cookies with the sweet tartness of strawberries
Salty Honey Butter: Butter biscuit pieces with saucy honey ice cream

The limited-edition flavors launched in Japan in mid-March and are available through supermarkets, convenience stores, and retail chains nationwide while supplies last. The ice cream is sold in Häagen-Dazs Japan’s standard mini cup format, typically 110 ml, with a retail price of around
JPY 373 (approximately USD 2.36).
