One such example is the recent limited-edition Smurfberry Range line-up from Popeyes UK, which claims our Pick of the Month. The range even used the real world’s very own ‘Smurfberry’ equivalent to create its vibrant blue color!

Baskin-Robbins Reveals New Pokémon Ice Cream Flavor: "Pikachu Tropical Soda"! Japan


Baskin-Robbins Japan has unveiled its seventh official Pokémon collaboration, featuring a range of themed goodies including sundaes, variety boxes, and a brand-new ice cream flavor, Pikachu Tropical Soda.

Available from August 1 to September 1, the ice cream debut combined vanilla ice cream with ramune-flavored sorbet and a tangy pineapple ribbon, topped with yellow Pikachu-shaped candies. It was priced at 420 yen (~USD 2.84) for a regular portion.


Fans could also enjoy the revived Colorful Fruits Crush Soda, which mixed lemon, pineapple, and apple-flavored syrups with a scoop of ice cream.


The collaboration included Pokémon-themed double cups with two scoops, a sundae spoon, and a collectible Pokémon sticker, priced at JPY 510–760 (~USD 3.45–5.14). Each Pokémon Sundae order also came with a bonus pick for the arcade game Pokémon Friends, giving fans a chance to collect cards and coins.


Special Pokémon-themed ice cream boxes were available for multiple single-scoop orders, making this limited-time summer launch a must-try for Pokémon enthusiasts.



McDonald’s UK Introduces Jaffa Cakes McFlurry and Brings Back Its Milky Way McFlurry! United Kingdom

McDonald’s UK has launched a brand-new Jaffa Cakes McFlurry, giving fans of the iconic British biscuit-cake hybrid a frozen twist. The indulgent dessert blends McDonald’s signature soft ice cream with chocolate-covered shortcake pieces, finished with a drizzle of zesty orange sauce. The result is a creamy, citrus-chocolate treat that captures the essence of the much-loved Jaffa Cake in spoonable form.


The Jaffa Cakes McFlurry comes in two sizes: Regular and Mini. The Regular size is priced at GBP 2.49 (approximately USD 3.40), while the Mini offers a smaller, more snackable option at a lower price point. The limited-time flavor was available at McDonald’s restaurants across the UK, including dine-in, drive-thru, the McDonald’s App, and McDelivery until September 10.

In addition, the fast food chain brought back its popular Milky Way McFlurry, which combines soft ice cream swirled with milk chocolate stars, malt-flavored pieces, and a chocolate sauce topping. Like the Jaffa Cakes McFlurry, the cost of this treat is GBP 2.49 (approximately USD 3.40).

Popeyes UK Launches Limited-Edition Smurfberry Ice Cream Range! United Kingdom


Popeyes UK, the New Orleans-born chicken brand, teamed up with the Smurfs ahead of the film’s nationwide cinema release in July to introduce the limited-edition Smurfberry Range. The vibrant menu features three new ice cream items, all crafted using Spirulina—the “real-world Smurfberry”—to recreate the iconic bright blue hue:

  • Smurfberry Shake: Popeyes' signature creamy Jersey Dairy shake mix combines with a luscious berry and vanilla blend, enhanced with Spirulina, then topped with whipped cream and Smurfberry sauce

  • Smurfberry Whipz: Velvety Jersey Dairy vanilla ice cream swirled with the vibrant Smurfberry sauce

  • Mini Smurfberry Whipz: A lighter, fun-sized version of the Smurfberry Whipz


The treats were available in Popeyes restaurants and drive-thrus nationwide, as well as via delivery and the Popeyes UK app.



Pierre Hermé's Gourmet Ice Creams for Summer 2025! France


For Summer 2025, Pierre Hermé unveiled a collection of daringly flavored ice creams and sorbets, combining original creations and emblematic fragrances:

  • Coupe Glacée Ispahan: Chunks of authentic rose, raspberry, and lychee blended with raspberry coulis, lychees, raspberry and lychee sorbets, chantilly cream, and mini pink macarons

  • Coupe Glacée Montebello: Strawberry and pistachio combined with fresh strawberries, strawberry sorbet, pistachio ice cream, caramelized pistachios, chantilly, and mini verbena macarons

  • Coupe Glacée Chloé: Chocolate and raspberry balanced with chocolate ice cream, raspberry sorbet, fresh raspberries, chocolate whipped cream, and mini chocolate macarons


Available until August 27, the sweet treats could be enjoyed in pots, scoops, or ice cream cups, particularly in tea rooms like Beaupassage. Prices ranged from EUR 3.50 (USD 4.12) for a single scoop to EUR 22 (USD 25.90) for a 500 mL container.



The Magnum Ice Cream Company Launches Hydro:ICE, Glow-in-the-Dark Kiwi & Lemon Ice Pop! Spain


Magnum's Hydro:ICE is a 77-calorie, glow-in-the-dark ice pop combining kiwi and lemon flavors. This dairy-free treat is enriched with vitamins C and B2, as well as magnesium, offering a refreshing experience with 77 calories per serving.

Designed for "healthy hedonists," it was soft-launched at Ibiza's Blue Marlin beach club, with plans for broader distribution if successful. Pricing details were not readily available at the time of publication.



KFC Spain Creates First-Ever Toothpaste-Inspired Ice Cream! Spain

KFC Spain has introduced a bold new flavor this summer with its toothpaste-inspired ice cream! In a collaboration with Licor Del Polo Junior (the most popular children’s toothpaste in the country), the daring dessert features creamy vanilla ice cream with a refreshing, minty twist. It’s reminiscent of classic toothpaste flavors—an adventurous treat for the brave and curious.


The ice cream is served in three formats: frozen tub, shake, and sundae, starting at EUR 2.99 (approximately USD 3.52) at participating KFC locations across Spain.



16 Handles Launched Summer Flavors for National Ice Cream Month! United States

16 Handles turned up the heat with three limited-time frozen treats, plus a sweet giveaway for National Ice Cream Day. The line-up included:


  • Froyo Heads Mystery Flavor Frozen Yogurt: Inspired by the iconic candy, each batch had a surprise fruity twist—no two swirls were the same. It was available until July 15.

  • Rocket Pop Italian Ice: A patriotic blend of cherry, lemon, and blue raspberry, perfect for Fourth of July celebrations. It was available for a limited time at select stores.

  • Vanilla Pineapple Ice Cream: A SpongeBob-inspired tropical soft-serve that captures the essence of a pineapple under the sea. It launched on July 15 and is available for a limited time.


Earlier this summer, on National Ice Cream Day, 16 Handles’ fans could download the brand’s app and stop by a participating store to claim a free treat (up to USD 5.00)!



Kylie Cosmetics x Van Leeuwen Peach Mango Pop-Up! United States

Kylie Cosmetics teamed up with Van Leeuwen Ice Cream to celebrate the launch of their new Peach Mango Lip Butter with a limited-edition peach mango sorbet! The exclusive flavor was available at Van Leeuwen's Tribeca location on Thursday, July 10, only. The first 200 customers received a complimentary scoop of the sorbet and a free Peach Mango Lip Butter.



New Birthday Cake Oreo Cookie Ice Cream Taco by Cold Stone Creamery! United States

Cold Stone Creamery recently added a fun twist to its dessert menu with its limited-time launch of the Oreo Ice Cream Taco!


The indulgent treat featured Cold Stone’s brand-new Birthday Cake Oreo Cookie Ice Cream loaded with crushed Oreo cookies, served in a soft, taco-shaped waffle shell and topped with Oreo crumbles, chocolate drizzle, and rainbow sprinkles.


Available as a single-serve taco until July 31 at participating Cold Stone Creamery locations nationwide, it was priced at approximately USD 7.99 per taco (prices vary by location).



Baskin-Robbins Introduces “Cake in a Box” with M&M’s and Oreo Flavors! United States


Baskin-Robbins has launched a new line of ice cream cakes called “Cake in a Box,” designed for convenience and portability. The two available varieties are:

Wendy’s Unveils Raven’s Blood Frosty in “Meal of Misfortune” Collaboration with Netflix’s Wednesday! United States

Wendy’s has introduced the “Raven’s Blood Frosty” as part of its limited-time “Meal of Misfortune,” a collaboration with Netflix’s Wednesday.


The goth-inspired dessert features a Vanilla Frosty base swirled with dark cherry sauce, available in both vanilla and chocolate flavors. The Frosty is served in Wednesday Addams-themed packaging and includes a “Spoon of Gloom” with the phrase “best served cold, like revenge.”

The meal also includes “Rest in 10-Piece” Nuggets, “Cursed & Crispy” Fries, and two randomly selected “Dips of Dread” sauces. Customers can participate in the interactive in-app experience “Escape from Wednesday’s Woe” for a chance to win USD 10,000.


The promotion is available starting Monday, August 4, at participating U.S. Wendy’s locations while supplies last.


A small Raven’s Blood Frosty costs USD 2.99. The Meal of Misfortune, which includes the Raven’s Blood Frosty, 10-piece nuggets, small fries, and two mystery sauces, is priced at $10.19, though prices may vary by location.



Cold Stone Creamery’s Two Carnival-Inspired Flavors: Churro and Honey Cornbread with Blackberry Jam Ice Cream! United States


Cold Stone Creamery is ushering in fall 2025 with two limited-time, carnival-inspired ice cream flavors: Churro (New!) and a fan favorite, Honey Cornbread with Blackberry Jam Ice Cream.

Using these newest flavors of ice cream, Cold Stone Creamery fans can enjoy two new Signature Creations:


  • Caramel Carnival Churro Creation (New!): Churro ice cream blended with Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, caramel, and sugar crystals

  • Cornbread Is My Jam Creation (Returning): Blackberry jam ice cream with honey cornbread, blueberries, and cornbread pieces, offering a sweet-savory treat
