In our first issue this month of What’s New Dairy, we reviewed a whole line-up of exciting products that recently hit freezers. This second edition is no different!


Brands from around the globe continue to impress us with innovative offerings that leave us wanting more. One such release this month – which claims our Pick of the Month – is from Santa Clara. The Mexican ice cream store is offering unique, sensorial experiences with its three newest flavors.

Baskin-Robbins Korea Debuts Impressive Ice Cream Cake Line-Up and AI-Designed Tropical Summer Play Flavor! Korea


Baskin-Robbins Korea has been busy concocting its most recent release, Tropical Summer Play.


Designed by Google’s AI assistant, Gemini, the debut marks the first flavor designed by the language model. Although Gemini helped assist with ingredient selection, the company chose the ice cream’s colors – blue, yellow, red, and green.


The new flavor was launched at the Workshop By Baskin Robbins store within the company’s headquarters in Seoul. This is the same location where Baskin-Robbins recently held their "Holiday Christmas Showcase," which displayed 17 ice cream cakes in various flavors.



The Brooklyn Creamery and Seema Sajdeh Launch “The Ultimate Hazelnut Chocobar”! India


The Brooklyn Creamery has teamed up with fashion designer Seema Sajdeh to introduce an exciting new treat: The Ultimate Hazelnut Chocobar, a 125-calorie delight with no added sugar!


The multi-layered, 55mL treat features creamy hazelnut ice cream with a smooth chocolate coating, crunchy hazelnuts, and a luscious layer of chocolate sauce.


It’s available through top delivery platforms and The Brooklyn Creamery’s website at an introductory price of ₹149.00 (USD 1.73).



Philippine’s Magnolia Ice Cream Expands to the United Arab Emirates! United Arab Emirates


A favorite among Filipino communities since 1925, ice cream enthusiasts in the UAE can now indulge in Magnolia Filipino Ice Cream, too!


The beloved Filipino ice cream brand is celebrated for its rich flavors that draw inspiration from the Philippines’ vibrant culture – from the earthiness of Ube to the refreshing taste of mango. Its range includes pints, ice cream cakes, and mini cups.


The ice cream can be found at major supermarkets in the UAE. A 1.3L tub sells for 33.95 AED (USD 9.24) at Lulu.



Halo Top Releases New Honeycomb Crunch Flavor! United Kingdom


Halo Top UK’s latest release is perfect for those aiming to hit their health goals without giving up the occasional indulgence! With only 80 calories per serving, the new Honeycomb Crunch-flavored sticks feature milk chocolate-coated honeycomb pieces.


The 3x100ml pack can be found in select Tesco stores for £4.00 USD 4.99.



New Stone Fruit Ice Cream Flavors at Tadaa! South Africa


Agricultural Cooperative Juicy Delicious and artisanal ice cream eatery Tadaa! recently teamed up to create new stone fruit ice cream flavors. The ready-made, all-natural debuts featured fresh stone fruit from orchards near Cape Town.


Fans could enjoy the tasty treat in a full scoop, smaller scoop, or 600 mL tub until mid-December 2024.



New Caramel Popcorn Ice Cream from Frody! Mexico


Here’s another innovative flavor from Frody: Caramel Popcorn!


According to Beatriz Rodríguez, CEO of Frody, the flavor was created as “an invitation to relive special moments.”


It was available for a limited time during the holiday season in more than 50 Frody locations in Mexico.


Santa Clara Creates Triple Chocolate Lactose-Free, Rice Pudding, and Mazapán Flavors! Mexico

Mexico-based Santa Clara continues to keep things innovative in our industry! The brand’s most recent launches have the same quality ingredients and unparalleled flavors that consumers recognize and includes:


  • Arroz Con Leche (Rice Pudding) ice cream: A unique partnership of soft rice, golden raisins marinated in rum, and cinnamon

  • Mazapán ice cream: Creamy ice cream combined with the classic peanut flavor and chocolate chunks

  • Triple Chocolate Lactose-Free ice cream: A rich, creamy, lactose-free milk base with intense chocolate syrup and irresistible fudge brownie chunks.

Amy’s Ice Creams Celebrates 40 Years with Throwback Flavors! United States


Texas-based Amy’s Ice Creams has delighted customers for forty years with its unique flavors and playful charm. To mark this milestone, the brand celebrated in true Amy’s style: by having fun! They featured a rotating selection of nostalgic flavors (like Rocky Road) and exclusive offers, including $1 off banana splits and free ice cream for anyone named Amy.



Peppermint Cold Brew Float and Sundae at Disneyland! United States


There was even more reason to celebrate at Disneyland this past holiday season: Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor’s new float and returning sundae!


The crowd-favorite Peppermint Holiday Sundae, which costs USD 11.29, combines two scoops of Peppermint ice cream, whipped cream, crushed peppermint, and crème-filled cookies in a sprinkle-topped waffle bowl.


A USD 8.29 Peppermint Cold Brew Float also offered a refreshing treat, combining Peppermint ice cream, Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew, and whipped topping.


The treats were available for a limited time at the parlor’s location on Main Street, U.S.A., next to Carnation Café.



Birthday Cake Flavor from Thrifty Ice Cream and Chuck E. Cheese! United States


The new Birthday Cake ice cream from Thrifty Ice Cream and Chuck E. Cheese elevates any celebration!


The treat features “creamy cake batter ice cream swirled with festive confetti sprinkles and a vibrant purple swirl inspired by Chuck E. Cheese’s signature color,” and includes 500 free Chuck E. Cheese fun center e-tickets.


The flavor is available in pint-sized containers (473mL) at 34 Chuck E. Cheese locations in Southern California. It’s also available in quart-sized containers (1.42L) at 350 Rite Aid locations across California, where it can be enjoyed by the scoop.
