What’s New in July: Dairy Ice Cream Innovations

This month, we’ve searched the globe for some of the most interesting and unique launches that recently debuted. And we found plenty of them! One of our favorites? The new alcohol-infused ice creams from ColdSnap, a brand celebrated for its unique ice cream processing system. The tasty treats, which combine the brand’s vanilla and chocolate ice creams with specially selected spirits, claim July’s Pick of the Month.

Alcohol-Infused Ice Creams from ColdSnap! United States

Adding some extra chill during hot summer days is easy with ColdSnap’s new uber-creamy, alcohol-infused ice cream!

Both of ColdSnap’s recent releases include milk, cream, natural flavors like vanilla and fairtrade cocoa, sweetened with sugar, and spiked with booze – then freshly frozen in the ColdSnap system.

The show-stopper of ColdSnap’s offerings, Bourbon Boozy Ice Cream, is a modern twist on their premium vanilla ice cream, with a hint of sweet and smooth Bourbon whiskey.

Mexican Hot Chocolate Boozy Ice Cream is a spin on the brand’s signature chocolate ice cream, with a kick of hot spice, cinnamon, and a splash of tequila.

Finding which spirits paired the best with the brand’s vanilla and chocolate ice creams took plenty of testing. Ultimately, the brand settled on up to 2% ABW in their ice creams, which imparts a tasty boozy punch without overdoing it.

Three New Treats at Baskin-Robbins Launch for a Limited Time, United States

Just in time to recently celebrate National Ice Cream Month, Baskin-Robbins launched three fun new treats!

The OREO Mega Stuf Cone is an OREO waffle cone that's been drizzled inside with OREO creme, two scoops of Baskin-Robbins' classic OREO Cookies'n Creme Ice Cream, another delicious layer of OREO crème filling, and topped with whipped cream and OREO cookie pieces.

The OREO Mega Stuf Cappuccino Blast adds drizzles of OREO creme to their signature Cappuccino Blast – a rich combination of coffee from 100% Arabica beans and Baskin-Robbins vanilla ice cream blended with ice and topped with real whipped cream and cinnamon.

In addition, Baskin-Robbins launched Sundae Funday Ice Cream as their new Flavor of the Month. Featuring a combination of vanilla and chocolate ice cream streaked with rich fudge swirls, chocolate-dipped waffle cone pieces, and a shower of rainbow sprinkles, this new flavor is basically an ice cream sundae in one scoop!

Both OREO treats will be available at participating Baskin-Robbins locations while supplies last, whereas the July Flavor of the Month was available for July only.

Cold Stone Creamery Creates Barbie-Themed Ice Cream, United States

Celebrate everything Barbie with Cold Stone Creamery’s newest Signature Creations ice cream and ice cream cake!

With a nod to the recently released Barbie movie, the brand has created All That Glitters is Pink – pink cotton candy ice cream with graham cracker pie crust, dance party sprinkles, and whipped topping, served in a special edition cup!

Prices range from $5.69 USD-$6.99 USD, depending on the size of the cup.

The popular chain has also released Best Cake Ever – a yellow cake layered with Pink Cotton Candy ice cream (mixed with dance party sprinkles) and wrapped in white frosting with, you guessed it, more dance party sprinkles.

A 6” small round cake, which serves up to 8, goes for $27.49 USD, whereas the 8” (Serving up to 14) is priced at $37.49 USD.

Both Barbie-themed ice cream treats will be available at Cold Stone until August 8.

Pink Ice Cream Cone from Chupa Chups! Spain

Spanish ice cream company La Menorquina partnered with Chupa Chups to create a perfect crunchy ice cream ball perched on a pink cone, exploding with frozen delight!

The crunchy pink wafer cone contains Chupa Chups strawberry-cream flavored ice cream, a strawberry-flavored sauce filling, a white chocolate coating, and an adornment of delectable caramel chips and rounded sprinkles.

Find the 3-pack online for €4.45 ($4.88 USD) and through the brand’s distribution network and out-of-home channels throughout the EU, as well as in the UK, MENA, Mexico, Philippines and Singapore.

Happi Co., Snoop Dogg Ice Cream Collaboration, United States

A collaboration between consumer-packaged goods company Happi Co. (known for their THC-infused seltzers made with real fruit) and hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg has resulted in Dr. Bombay Ice Cream, a frozen dessert brand.

Snoop Dogg’s inspiration – to create an ice cream that brings a smile to your face and eases your mind – has led to the creation of seven ice cream varieties, each unique and nostalgic:

  • Tropical Sherbet Swizzle: Vibrant orange sherbet swirl loaded with tropical pineapple and citrus flavors that will have your taste buds popping

  • Cocoa Cream Cookie Dream: The perfect combination of chocolate milk ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, and swirled cookie perfection

  • Bonus Track Brownie Ice Cream: A smooth, rhythmic blend of vanilla ice cream, chunks of brownie dough and brownie brittle, and thick fudge swirls

  • Syrupy Waffle Sundaze: A remix of a brunch classic into a blend of waffle ice cream, waffle pieces, and a brown butter syrup swirl

  • S’more VIBES: This campfire classic takes marshmallow ice cream, fudge bites, marshmallow crispy rice, and graham cracker swirls to the next level

  • Iced Out Orange Cream: Vanilla ice cream with orange sherbet swirled in icy orange goodness — the perfect combo for satisfying any sweet tooth craving

  • Rollin’ in the Dough: Decadent cookie ice cream combined with chunks of delicious cookie dough, topped with choco flakes and luscious chocolate chip cookie swirls

You can find one of the 473mL pints at 3,500 Walmart stores across the United States for $5.22 USD.

Dog-O’s Ice Cream for Dogs, United States

Marcoot Jersey Creamery’s newest product, Dog-O’s Ice Cream for Dogs, is an all-natural frozen treat that will have tails wagging in excitement!

Promising a refreshing and satisfying treat, this grain-free, gluten-free ice cream (containing no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives) is available in four varieties: Classic Vanilla, Cheddar Bacon, Pumpkin Crunch, and Peanut Butter & Banana Smash.

Find the new dog treat online in 3-oz cups for $3.99 USD or a space-efficient four-pack for $11.99 USD.

Two New Launches from Tesco! United Kingdom

Find two exciting new flavors at Tesco stores in the UK for £3 ($3.82 USD) for a 480ml tub!

The first, Tesco Finest Coconut and Passion Fruit Ice Cream, has finely shredded coconut rippled with vibrant, tangy passion fruit sauce to balance the sweet, creamy coconut flavor.

Meanwhile, Tesco Finest Roasted Pistachio Ice Cream features pistachio paste and roasted pistachio, which is stirred into the ice cream for a mellow and woody taste. A pinch of salt heightens the nutty notes.

Four New Flavors in Hudsonville’s Little Debbie Lineup, United States

The ongoing partnership between iconic family-owned brands Hudsonville and Little Debbie has resulted in four new nostalgic treats! These additions join the original Hudsonville Little Debbie ice cream line launched exclusively in February 2022 at Walmart.

  • Star Crunch: Caramel-flavored ice cream with chocolate-coated crispies and finished with a thick fudge swirl

  • Unicorn Cakes: Smooth strawberry-flavored ice cream with yellow pound cake pieces and purple sanding sugar, finished with a blue icing swirl

  • Fudge Rounds: Chocolate ice cream with chocolate cake flavored ice cream marbled together with soft chocolatey cake crumbs throughout

  • Birthday Cake: Sweet white cake flavored ice cream with yellow cake pieces and colorful icing sprinkles throughout

The 473mL pints range in price from $2.50-$3.69 USD.
